We’re so excited to be expanding Sebago Signworks to a second location in Windham, Maine! Opening this second shop really takes us back to our roots, as our original shop was in Raymond. Owner, Devin Fahie, is looking forward to being able to better service this community, and have expanded space for larger projects and vehicle lettering and wraps.
The Sebago Signworks family business was started originally by Devin’s parents, and called Signs in Seconds. Devin joined his parents at the original shop when he moved to Maine, and eventually took over when they retired. A second-generation sign maker, he learned sign-making and hand-painting techniques working with his dad on the carnival circuit as a kid.
Family Fun Fact:
Devin even met his wife, Renee, at a carnival. He was working, and she was there with her 4-H group. After being teenage sweethearts, Devin moved to Maine to be with Renee. They got married in 1997 and started their family shortly thereafter.
Devin’s parents left the carnival circuit and followed their son to Maine. This is when they opened their sign business in Raymond. Devin started working for them, expanding his knowledge and expertise in sign making, and then took over the business.
Early customers in Raymond included Mullet driving school, Utilities Incorporated (the phone company for those too young to remember wired telephones), and other local small businesses. Devin remembers working in this area fondly. “Both my kids were born after I started working there, and basically grew up there. From a few months old to elementary school, my kids were there every day.”
Eventually Devin renamed Signs in Seconds, Sebago Signworks & Vehicle Advertising, to better represent their business. When they outgrew the Raymond location, Devin purchased the current Limington property and shop. Don’t worry – Sebago Signworks in Limington isn’t going anywhere! We’re simply expanding and growing to include this second location.
The roots of our business stem from the small, local businesses that supported us in the original Raymond shop. They helped us grow into what we do now. We haven’t forgotten that. Devin says, “This is the business we really love. Because working with every business is unique, every startup business is exciting, everybody’s product is different. It’s these small businesses that have grown with us, and we really feel like we get to be a marketing partner with them. That’s fun.”
SSW many customers who have worked with us for 10 to 15 years. Our success is entirely based on our customers, and we know this! If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t be here today. The opportunity to expand our business, and get back to the area where it all started is full circle and very special.
We are here to work with you to make your idea happen, or get you going in the direction to make it happen. We love the opportunity to be creative every day, to learn new things every day. Doing something different all the time is very rewarding, it keeps us going and feeds our creativity. We are great problem solvers – so bring your idea to us!
We are looking for the long term relationship. We don’t care if you have a one-person business or a crew, or if you have 1 truck or 500. We want to be here with you to help you grow. That’s how we’ve kept this business going and growing. We plan to do that same thing in Windham.
We’re still staffing up and moving into our new location, but we can meet you by appointment to discuss your project – just give us a call or text us! We are also happy to come see you at your business.
